All I think about at work is disk I/O.  That’s an overstatement but the point is to motivate my late night and early morning batch of small changes to Bashpress.

First up, I made the homepage a 302 redirect to the most recent month’s posts.  It has long bothered me that blogs are singluarly obsessed with permalinks and yet will place rotating content on the homepage without a second thought.

Second and equally inconsequential is that I added a flag to Bashpress to globally enable or disable comments, which I’ve disabled.  Al3x’s reasoning sits well with me but for someone without his noteriety, I need a crutch.
